Cem Karavelioğlu, a member of the Istanbul Bar Association, serves as Of Counsel at ANKA Law. He has extensive experience in dispute resolution, with a particular focus on maritime litigation, advising and representing clients in complex and high-stakes shipping-related disputes.
Cem regularly acts in a wide range of maritime claims, including cargo damage, crew claims, collisions, environmental pollution, illicit drug smuggling cases and bunker-related disputes, primarily on behalf of leading P&I Clubs and multinational shipowners. He also has experience in providing legal assistance to agricultural commodity traders in relation to FOSFA and GAFTA matters, including the enforcement of FOSFA and GAFTA arbitral awards. His practice further encompasses ship sale and purchase transactions, where he advises on both contractual and dispute-related aspects.
In addition to his maritime practice, Cem has experience in commercial dispute resolution, employment law, and enforcement and bankruptcy proceedings, enabling him to provide comprehensive legal support across related practice areas.
