Dr. Zahide Altunbaş Sancak is the managing partner at ANKA Law. A dual-qualified attorney admitted to both the Istanbul and New York Bar Associations and an alumna of Harvard Law School, her practice is focused on corporate law and M&A, banking and finance, venture capital and angel investments, as well as acquisition financing.
She has substantial experience advising multinational corporations and foreign investors on large-scale transactions and corporate matters within Turkey, having advised both sell-side and buy-side clients across all phases of more than 70 local and cross-border transactions, involving both private and publicly listed companies.
In addition to her transactional work, she provides strategic and commercially pragmatic corporate law and corporate governance advice to multinational clients of various sizes in numerous sectors including technology, energy, telecommunications, infrastructure, and automotive. In this respect, Zahide also serves as the Board representative for the international retailer Gebr. Heinemann in its major joint venture, Unifree, the duty-free operator at Istanbul Airport.
